I have a tentative job offer for a Secretary position!!!
I had a sudden interview and ended up doing a Secretarial assessment yesterday as well and I'm trying not to be super anxious about everything, just because I care so much about doing this right?
But I'm having a little bit of an anxiety spiral about it?
I ended up having to email the recruiter like three times yesterday in the course of a half an hour because I didn't think that I had a program on my computer, then it turns out that I did, and then just I ended up sending them the files even if I wasn't necessarily sure if that's how they wanted them?... and I just hope that the files and screenshots I sent in are good enough? And even though all of my replies are very clear, short, polite, and business like I'm still concerned that I might have come across as clingy or obnoxious and ruined my chances.... And, I'm anxious about a lot of semantics that were in the secretarial test too. I was confused about one question and another one I was unsure on another because of how it was worded but I inferred and I tried to do my absolute best. (I swear they were telling me to make a 2x4 table but giving me data for a 4x4? I just went ahead and made a 4x4 just so that the table would have all of the info the were requesting? Maybe they meant 2x4 in the fact that data that wasn't labels was only 2x4? I don't know man.)
But, there was really only one thing in there that I didn't know how to do. The rest is just me being anxious about semantics and over-communication (and making sure that all of what I did is showing up for them because I had to use Google Docs to make the various items instead of Word and I'm concerned about compatibility issues with a few select things....) and I know I'm overthinking and spiraling a bit, but I'm just stuck waiting. I been waiting since about 3 pm yesterday and I keep reminding myself that it was towards the end of their work day and that this onboarding process is going to take a long time and that office emails and the like can take a little while to get back and forth and they need to talk to people and show them my hiring assessment and again there was only one thing that I did not know how to do and the rest of my concerns are all semantics and compatibility issues but what if that's enough to ding me enough points that I fail the assessment and just... OOUGH-
